Infinite Fitness Owner/ Co-CEO and Ascendo Fitness Personal Trainer.
Fitness has always been an integral part of Laura’s life. Growing up in Cape Breton, she was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader. From 2005-2009, Laura coached the cheerleading team at her alma mater, Riverview High School. It was during time she found her passion for coaching and helping others.

In 2006, Laura started working out at the gym on a regular basis. It was here that she met Angus, her now husband. Missing the competitive scene, Laura turned to bodybuilding in 2007. In 2008, she won first place in women’s lightweight bodybuilding. In 2009, Laura and Angus welcomed their first daughter, Lila, and ten months later, in April 2010, Laura again won first place in women’s lightweight bodybuilding. In 2011, Laura won first place in figure short and second place in figure short in 2012.

In 2010, Laura decided to take her passion for fitness to the next level and become a canfitpro certified Personal Training Specialist. When Ascendo Fitness opened later that year, she immediately fell in love with the facility. Ascendo quickly became her second home thanks to the friendly and supportive atmosphere, staff and members! In 2014, Laura became an Associate PRO TRAINER for canfitpro and now teaches the Personal Training Certification in Cape Breton.

When not at Ascendo working with her clients, teaching classes or exercising, Laura spends time with her husband and two beautiful daughters, Lila and Quinn. Laura also has a new found love of hot yoga, which she practices several times a week.
